In this post I have gone in to detail finding out which restaurants cater to gluten intolerant individuals. As a coeliac myself, I spend a lot of time before going to venues worrying whether or not I’ll be able to enjoy myself or if I’ll be settling for a salad.

After all the time and money we’ve spent saving for this once in a life time trip, the last thing you want to be doing is scrolling endlessly through every restaurant or quick service to see where you can eat. In this post and my next couple of posts I will be breaking down all the locations for all budgets, in one simple post.

Sections that say Allergy Menu means they have a fully adapted menu for multiple allergies. I have broken down price ranges with this key:

$ – $14.99 and under per adult

$$ – $15.00 to $34.99 per adult

$$$ – $35.00 to $59.99 per adult

$$$$ – Over $60 per adult

Blizzard Beach

If you are planning a day at blizzard beach you may be a little bit limited with Gluten Free options, there is one establishment that offer Gluten Free adaptations. It may be best if you bring your own snacks or plan in advance if you are not a fan of burgers and salads. Many of the smaller stands offer ice cream and cold refreshments.

It’s important to note that while Disney makes an effort to provide gluten-free options, cross-contamination can occur during preparation. Be sure to inform the Cast Member taking your order about your gluten intolerance or coeliac disease so they can take the necessary precautions to prepare your food safely.

Typhoon Lagoon

Like Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon is limited with its gluten free options. With one venue offering gluten free adaptations and a few kiosk style stands with ice creams and refreshments. You could take your own food into the park or Leaning Palms has a lot to offer on Gluten Free Adaptations.

As with Blizzard Beach, it’s important to inform the Cast Member taking your order about your gluten intolerance or celiac disease so they can prepare your food safely. Disney makes an effort to provide gluten-free options, but cross-contamination can still occur during preparation.

Final Thoughts and Helpful Tips

Although Disney does have Gluten Free options and caters to coeliac’s very well it can be difficult to find and sift through each location and restaurant to find they have limited options. When I was initially looking on the website you can filter parks and budgets but not dietary restrictions. I had to go onto each menu and scroll through, which when you’re on holiday is the last thing you want to do.

Hopefully this post will help in your decision making. When you have chosen a destination and want to look at the menu, you can scroll through the menu on the My Disney Experience App. Typically, the allergen section will be near the end of the menu or within the Mobile Order process, you can see Allergy-Friendly options.

When placing a Mobile Order, you’ll see an icon with a triangle around a fork that says ‘Allergy-Friendly’ – tap there. Once you tap it, you’ll be taken to a screen that shows all of the Allergy-Friendly dishes divided by the specific allergy type. Tap the Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly icon for more information. And note that you can further customize some dishes to really make them right for you.

Disney World also offers a variety of grab-and-go items like fruit cups, salads, and yogurt parfaits that are gluten-free. You can find these items at various stands and quick-service restaurants throughout the parks.

Remember to always ask your server or a Disney cast member about gluten-free options, and don’t be afraid to speak up about any dietary restrictions you may have.

Enjoy all that Disney World has to offer while staying within your budget and keeping your gluten-free diet in check.
