Cycling Shorts:

These can be handy for anyone who struggles with chafing in hot weather, wearing cycling shorts can be easier on your legs than shorts that ride up.

Waterproof Mack/Coat:

An Essential piece of Orlando kit, even if you’re thinking to yourself ‘But I’m going in the middle of the summer, it won’t rain!’, trust me, in Orlando it does. I might only be for a min or so but it will rain hard. So a mack you can pack up small into your bag will be a life saver.

Blister Plasters:

I think these are self explanatory if I’m honest. Even with the comfiest of shoes that you’ve worn in for months, you can still end up with blisters and the normal plasters just won’t cut it with all the walking you’ll be doing. Some of the average steps in a Disney day can exceed 30k.

Motion Sickness Tablets:

These only really apply for people who suffer with motion sickness, but as we get old you’ll find that we can’t handle the spinning sorts of rides without coming off feeling a bit worse for wear. I haven’t been on rollercoaster for a few years, so I’m not sure but I will be purchasing some just in case.

Anti Chafe Balm:

Again, this is a self explanatory one. If you struggle with chafing in hot weather or in general this will be a god send. There is nothing worse than finding you have chaffed when wearing shorts and being in agony with the rash that follows.

Hydration Tablets/Sachets:

The weather can be extremely hot and if you’re in ques all day, rarely getting water you can get dehydrated very quickly. Just popping some of these in your water can give you a boost and stop those dehydration headaches.

Collapsible Reusable Water Bottle:

This kind of relates to the last item, you need to make sure you are drinking a lot with all the walking and heat you will be in. In both Disney and Universal water alone can be very expensive per bottle. But both parks do offer free cups of ice water and refill stations to keep you hydrated. Instead of carrying a paper cup around, if you get a collapsible bottle you can keep it in your bag and pop it up, fill it full of the ice water and you’re good to go.

Packing Cubes/Organizers:

See these on a couple of vlogs, where it was easier to pack and unpack in the rooms, just lifting the cubes in and out of the drawers. I will definitely investing in these for my upcoming trip.

Fans:

Hand held mini fans to be precise. And very obvious why I’d put this as an essential. Long lines in 30 degree heat with no air con. ESSENTIAL!

Reusable Collapsible Lunch Box:

The world has moved over to using paper cutlery and straws when eating quick food and Disney/Universal are no exception. You’ll be hard stretched to find anywhere that is still using plastic. If you’re anything like us and you hate a soggy straw, you’ll want this mini kit.

Reusable Straws/Utensils:

I’ve saw many vloggers and bloggers who are from the UK say that the portion sizes in America are very large in comparison to what we are used to. And if you’re a Coeliac like myself you may want to take some food with you to the parks. These little handy collapsible lunch boxes can pop up and down so they don’t take up too much room in your park bags.

Universal Plugs:

Yet another obviously essential. Disney and Universal have moved over to having USB outlets which is amazing, especially technology lovers like myself and Olly. But if you’re taking an electric toothbrush or hair straighteners, you’ll need to make sure you’re packing at least one.
